This week we are talking about Domestic Violence during quarantine with licensed social worker, Alethea Best. Over the last couple of weeks, we have read reports that incidents of domestic violence have surged as a result of COIVD-19. With stay at home orders in place throughout most of the country, the up tick in cases do not come as a surprise.

Alethea Best, LMSW, Social Worker who is passionate about ending Intimate Partner Violence. Alethea provides: trauma-informed counseling, educational workshops for students, parents and staff, and the development of a peer leadership program to promote healthy relationships in her current role as a Relationship Abuse Prevention Program Coordinator to her school community. Alethea plans and facilitates an intensive peer leadership training program where young people gain knowledge and skills to be supportive peers and agents of social change in the movement to end intimate partner violence.
