In the words of Destiny's Child "It's just emotion taken me over..." (I would continue on with the lyrics but they don't apply here). But I digress. Emotion is a powerful thing. Emotions can take you from zero to 100 real quick. Emotions are a necessary part of life because they help us communicate with one another.
But when emotions go unchecked, when we let them get out of control, they can be the cause of our downfall. A simple misunderstanding or lack of communication can then be escalated to a discipline or worse.
On today's episode I talk about how not to let emotions get the best of you in the workplace. It is not easy cause these colleagues be wildin out. But there are a few things you can do to check your emotions and prevent yourselves from losing your job due to a quick turn up. There is no such thing as a quick turn up at work. In the end you may still have your job, but your reputation maybe forever tarnished. I have had to learn myself that sometimes you just have to take a moment, breathe, assess the situation and then respond accordingly.
