This week's episode was hard to get through. I am not happy. What's happening in this country is not ok. I am tired, but there is work to be done. Women of color are seen as the backbone of the community, and we are. We are the backbones of our community. We are the voice. When they kill our men, we are the ones who speak up, while still holding it together to care for children and our community.
We have to be the voice for ourselves. Women are victims of police brutality too. We are being murdered by the hands of law enforcement and this is not ok. On this episode, I air out my frustrations, while urging our sisters to find their voice. Those who can speak, speak, those who cannot there are other ways to let your voices be heard.
We cannot be silent. We need to continue the fight for justice. We need to continue saying the names of the countless women who have lost their lives at the hands of law enforcement. We need to #sayhername.
